Advertising Disclosure

Last updated: March 2026

Taxonyx is committed to transparency in all aspects of how this website operates — including commercial relationships that may influence content. This page explains our approach to affiliate links, sponsored content, and third-party advertising. We believe visitors are better served by honest disclosure than by any commercial relationship, and we maintain editorial independence accordingly.

Affiliate relationships

  • Programme participation. Taxonyx may participate in affiliate programmes where we receive a commission if a visitor clicks a link and subsequently purchases a product or service from a third party.
  • Commission-based links. Where affiliate links appear on this site, they will not add any cost to you as a visitor. The commission, where earned, comes from the third party, not from you.
  • Product recommendations. Any recommendation made on this site reflects a genuine assessment, regardless of affiliate relationship. We do not recommend products or services solely on the basis of commission potential.
  • Financial relationship transparency. The existence of a commercial relationship with a referenced third party will be disclosed in context where applicable. This page constitutes a general disclosure of our participation in such arrangements.

Sponsored content

  • Identification of paid content. Any content that has been produced or published in exchange for payment or material benefit will be clearly identified as sponsored at the point of publication.
  • Labelling policy. Sponsored posts, advertorials, or paid placements will carry a visible label — such as "Sponsored" or "In partnership with" — to distinguish them from independently produced content.
  • Brand partnerships. Where brand partnerships influence any content on this site, the nature of that relationship will be disclosed. Taxonyx retains editorial control over how partnered content is presented.
  • Content authenticity. Sponsored content will not misrepresent facts or make claims that conflict with our understanding of the subject matter. Our credibility as an advisory-focused platform takes precedence over any commercial arrangement.

Third-party advertising

  • Advertising networks. This site may use third-party advertising platforms to display ads. These platforms may collect data about your visit in order to serve relevant advertising.
  • Behavioural targeting. Third-party advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to track browsing behaviour across websites to deliver interest-based advertisements. This only occurs where you have provided consent via our cookie preferences.
  • Cookie usage for advertising. Advertising cookies are only activated where you explicitly consent. You can review and update your preferences at any time via the Cookie Policy page.
  • Ad personalisation. Where advertising personalisation is enabled, ads shown on this and other sites may reflect your interests inferred from browsing data. You may opt out of personalised advertising via your cookie settings.

User rights and controls

  • Ad preference management. You can manage advertising and tracking preferences at any time via the Cookie Policy page on this site.
  • Opt-out procedures. To opt out of interest-based advertising, update your cookie preferences to decline advertising and ad personalisation cookies. Most browsers also provide controls to block third-party cookies entirely.
  • Data collection for advertising. Data collected for advertising purposes is limited to what is necessary for campaign measurement. We do not build detailed personal profiles for advertising.
  • Rights under privacy regulations. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have specific rights regarding data collected for advertising purposes, including rights of access, erasure, and objection. These can be exercised via our Contact page.
